should be conversant with various aspects of the WiMAX specification and
proven experience in developing features of the MAC. The candidate must
be knowledgeable in C, and Linux, or other real time operating systems.
The candidate should have exposure to working with low level kernel/RTOS
modules, and must understand constraints and implementation of real time
systems.
Experience with other wireless protocols and implementation experience
will be considered to be useful and relevant. The candidate is expected
to understand the basics of the physical layer functionality and how L1
and L2 interact with each other and the radio to complete the entire
system. The candidate is also expected to understand the basics of wire
line networking, such as Ethernet, TCP/IP etc.
The candidate is expected to be mature, skilled, with good communication
skills (both oral and written) and capable of working independently with
minimal guidance, and to lead a small team of MAC & Embedded Software
engineers.
·
Extensive knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol suite
·
Experience in designing, developing, testing and debugging:
o
Applications in Linux Operating system
o
Multi threaded and Multi core applications
o
Networking applications using socket API, Unix IPC
(c) Job Description:
The candidate will be expected to work at the MAC layer of WiMAX
products, either implementing or enhancing features of the existing MAC
software. The candidate will have to work with other sub-systems of the
product, ensuring seamless integration of the MAC layer with the rest of
the system. The candidate will essentially be responsible for the entire
MAC layer, and its functionality, hence will be expected to understand
and solve issues that may arise time to time, by working with other
teams in conjunction to address all the issues. The candidate will be
responsible for IOT and system integration and will also be expected to
work with customers on any relevant issues or features.
2. Sr. DSP Engineers

of relevant industry experience, in product development.
(b) Relevant experience:
The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years experience in
algorithm development and implementation in wireless communications.
The candidate is expected to have a good grasp of Signal Processing
fundamentals, coding, A/D and D/A, along with real world experience of
implementing them in a fixed point environment.
The candidate will be expected to have a good knowledge of OFDM and its
variants, and would have implemented major aspects of an OFDM physical
layer. The candidate must have experience working with DSPs,
particularly suited for OFDM implementations, and must understand the
processor’s limitations as well as advantages and its hardware
architecture, in order to utilize it. Excellent C and assembly coding
skills are a must, as is expertise in TI development tools and
platforms. Knowledge of packet processing is highly desirable as if
knowledge of latest RF techniques.
The candidate is expected to be mature, skilled, with good
communication skills (both oral and written) and capable of working
